Curator legal
Content & Rights Policy
Effective September 15, 2026 · Version 1.0
Curator is built around public discovery of art and cultural places. This policy explains expectations for submitting images, attribution, venue information, and other content.
Submit Only What You Can Share
Artists, venues, managers, collectors, and other users should submit images, text, and profile information only when they have appropriate rights, permission, or authority to do so.
Submitting content does not transfer ownership to Curator, but it does allow Curator to host, display, format, and use the content to operate the service.
Attribution and Corrections
Curator aims to present artwork, artist, venue, and exhibit information clearly. Attribution may be corrected when an artist, rights holder, venue, user, or Curator reviewer identifies an issue.
Venue-submitted artist attribution describes information supplied for what is on view. It is not equivalent to verified artist ownership, artist management, or rights-holder authorization.
Rights Holder Requests
Artists and rights holders can request correction or removal of images, attribution, profile information, artwork records, or related content by contacting Curator with enough detail to identify the work and concern.
Curator may request additional information to understand authority, rights ownership, representation, or the basis for a correction or removal request.
Review and Temporary Unpublishing
When a dispute or rights concern is raised, Curator may temporarily unpublish or limit visibility of disputed content while reviewing the request.
Curator may restore, correct, replace, or remove content after review depending on the information available and the needs of the service.
Repeated Abuse
Repeated inaccurate, abusive, infringing, misleading, or unauthorized submissions may lead to content removal, loss of management access, account limits, suspension, or termination.
How to Contact Curator
For correction or removal, include the artwork, artist, venue, exhibit, page URL if available, your relationship to the work, and the change you are requesting.
