Privacy Policy

Effective September 15, 2026 · Version 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how Curator handles information when people browse art, create an account, save works, manage profiles, or submit artwork and venue information.

Information You Provide

Curator may collect account information such as your email address, profile display name, role, managed profile requests, and settings choices.

We also collect content you submit, including artwork details, venue or artist profile information, exhibit information, images, captions, and messages included in access or event-interest requests.

Collection and Activity

If you save or collect artworks, Curator stores your collection status, encounter details you submit, timestamps, and related artwork identifiers so your collection can sync across devices.

Curator may keep records of agreement acceptance, account roles, and other account-state events needed to operate the service and maintain trust.

Location Information

Curator can use location information when you grant permission in your browser or device. Location may help find nearby art, support collection context, or confirm an in-person encounter.

If you do not grant location permission, you can still browse public content, although some nearby or verification features may be limited.

Technical and Analytics Data

Curator may collect technical data such as device, browser, page, referral, and interaction information to understand performance, diagnose issues, and improve the product.

Curator may use analytics tools to understand how the service is used, diagnose issues, and improve performance. If our analytics, advertising, or tracking practices materially change, we will update this Policy.

Service Providers

Curator uses service providers to host the app, authenticate users, store data, deliver the product, analyze usage, and maintain infrastructure. These providers may process information for Curator under their own terms and safeguards.

How Information Is Used

We use information to provide Curator, maintain accounts and collections, show public artwork and venue pages, review managed profile requests, improve product quality, protect against abuse, and communicate about support or policy issues.

Sharing

Curator does not sell personal information. Public profile, artwork, venue, exhibit, and attribution content may be visible to other users or visitors when published.

We may disclose information when needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transition.

Retention

Curator keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the integrity of public artwork and rights records.

Some public or moderation records may be retained after account changes where needed for security, audit, legal, or rights-review reasons.

Your Choices and Rights

You can contact Curator to request access, correction, deletion, or other available privacy rights. Availability may depend on your location and the type of information involved.

You can control browser location permission in your device or browser settings.
